Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara
Pick up from your hotel/airport and drive along the floor of the Rift Valley to Masai Mara arriving at the camp in time for lunch. Later head for an afternoon game drive followed by dinner and overnight stay at a Tented camp/lodge.
Day 2: Maasai Mara
After breakfast begin our game viewing with both morning and evening game drives around the reserve. Maasai Mara is believed to be Kenya’s prime wildlife area home to over 450 bird species. Lions are found in abundance, elephants, buffaloes, Black rhinos, giraffes, genet cats, roam antelopes, leopards, cheetahs & Black-manned lions. A drive to the famous Mara River will give you the chance to see the huge crocodiles basking on the sun. During the wildebeest migration which occurs mostly between July-October the Mara River turns to a valley of death where only the strong wildlife survive. Zebras, antelopes & wildebeest cross into Mara to seek greener pastures in Serengeti. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge/Camp.
Day 3: Masai Mara -Hells gate National park
Start the day with a morning game drive then return to the Lodge for breakfast. Check out and exit the park and drive to Hells Gate National Park. This park can be explored by either foot or cycling (bicycles are available for hire at an extra cost). Hells gate national park is the only park where one can cycle or go by foot in Kenya due to the absence of predators thus making it unique. It is characterized by diverse topography and geological scenery. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge/Camp.
Day 4 : Lake Naivasha – Amboseli National park
Morning boat ride in Lake Naivasha then drive to Amboseli via Nairobi as you enjoy the scenic views of the Great Rift Valley. Arrive at the lodge/camp in time for lunch. Later in the afternoon proceed for an afternoon game drive at the scenic park at the foot hills of Mount Kilimanjaro. The park comprises of large herds of elephants walking majestically throughout the park. The wildlife in Amboseli include Leopard, Cheetah, Buffalo, Elephant, Giraffe, Zebra, Lion , Crocodile, mongoose, Hyrax, Dik-dik, Lesser Kudu, nocturnal porcupine and prolific birdlife features 600 species. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge/camp.
Day 5 – Amboseli – Ngorongoro conservation area
After an early breakfast, proceed for morning game drives as we drive into Tanzania via the Namanga border and proceed for lunch in Arusha. Proceed to Ngorongoro conservation area for dinner and overnight stay at the camp/Lodge.
Day 6 – Ngorongoro Crater Tour
Have breakfast then descend 2,000ft into the huge caldera of this ancient extinct volcano for a day tour at the crater. Attractions in Ngorongoro crater include alkaline lakes, forest, and different vegetation, hot springs, different kinds of wildlife and birdlife and its landscape.
Among the common wildlife in the crater includes; lion, hyena, elephant, leopard, zebra, wild dogs, warthog, the rare black rhino, African buffalo, wildebeest and varieties of migratory and resident birdlife whereby more than 350 different species have been recorded. Later, ascend for dinner and overnight stay at a Lodge.
Day 7 – Ngorongoro Crater – Tarangire National Park
Drive to Tarangire National Park after breakfast for an extensive game drive with packed lunch. The park has a permanent water source hence guaranteeing sights of large elephant herds, cheetahs, tree-climbing lions, leopards and hyenas. This park is also home to elands, oryxs, kudus plus gerenuks. Return to the lodge/camp for overnight and dinner.
Day 8 :Tarangire – Arusha
Breakfast at Leisure then drive to Arusha to board your return flight. This marks the end of our safari.
