Day 1: Nairobi-Samburu
Transfer to Wilson airport for your scheduled flight to Samburu National Reserve. You will pass over lush farmlands and catch glimpses of the slopes of Mt. Kenya before dropping down to the arid Samburu Game Reserve. On arrival you will be transferred to your lodge/Camp. We will have a game drive en route. After lunch depart for an afternoon gamedrive. Dinner and overnight at the lodge/camp.
Day 2: Full day Samburu National Reserve
Depart for a morning game drive. This is the period where most wildlife is active. Later return to the camp/lodge for breakfast. After breakfast relax and enjoy the hotel’s facilities. Later depart for an afternoon game drive. Samburu is located north of the central mountains and the equator. This fascinating arid reserve is home to Grevy’s zebra and reticulated giraffe, as well as Oryx, gerenuk, Somali ostrich and dik dik. You will have a chance to see lions, leopards, cheetahs and elephants. Spectacular rocky outcrops, wonderful Domas palms and the shaded Ewaso Nyiro River, the life source for the Samburu reserve, make this reserve scenic.
Day 3: Samburu-Nairobi
After breakfast, check out of the lodge/camp and head to the airstrip with an enroute game drive for your flight back to Nairobi. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel/airport for your return flight.
