15-Day Kenya Tanzania Safari /Zanzibar Holiday – Wildlife Safari Combined with Beach Holiday

This safari is perfect for all travelers. It covers the safari experience to the fullest and winds up with a beach vacation, a perfect way to relax after all the driving during the safaris. It’s an ideal description of an all-round holiday. It begins in Kenya and ends in Zanzibar before your return journey to Nairobi.

Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu

Pick up from your hotel a briefing session with our representative before starting the safari. Pass through the majestic Mt. Kenya en route to the open savannah of Samburu Game Reserve. Check in and have Lunch at the camp/lodge. Proceed for afternoon game drives before returning to the lodge/camp for Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Samburu National Reserve Full Game drives

This day is dedicated to explore the park with both morning and afternoon game drives to maximize our time at this park. The highlights of Samburu game reserve is the splendid scenic beauty, rivers and forests. It is an area where the local people have a great and colorful heritage. The reserves have numerous permanent springs and a lot of wildlife including leopard, hippo, elephant, lion, reticulated giraffe, grevy’s zebra, over 360 bird species and crocodile in the Ewaso Nyiro river. Dinner and overnight at the camp/lodge.

Day 3: Samburu – Lake nakuru

After breakfast proceed to Lake Nakuru National park. The lake is famed for being home to millions of flamingoes. There is a good number of  white and black rhinos, one of the largest concentrations in the country. Predators are also residents to this park while Rothschild’s giraffe have been trans-located into the park for safety, dinner and overnight at the camp/lodge.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru – Maasai Mara

This morning travel south through the beautiful savannahs and plains of the Rift Valley and reach our base camp site at Masai Mara, where we enjoy another evening out bush under the far-reaching African sky. Game viewing enroute to the  camp/lodge for Lunch. At 1600hrs head for a game drive. Dinner and overnight here.

Day 5-6: Masai mara Full game drives

You have two full days in Masai Mara, with morning and afternoon game drives or full-day game drives with packed lunches. All meals and the overnight stay at your lodge/ Camp are on full board. Maasai Mara is known as one of Africa’s greatest wildlife reserves, situated in south-west Kenya. Surrounded by the Masai community, well known for their distinctive culture, the Game Reserve has approximately 95 species of mammals, amphibians and reptiles and over 400 bird species. Nowhere in Africa is wildlife more abundant, and it is for this reason that you can hardly miss seeing the Big Five (buffalos, elephants, leopards, lions, and rhinos). Other animals include hippos, cheetahs, Grant’s gazelle, impalas, topis, Coke’s hartebeest, giraffes, Roan antelopes and the nocturnal bat-eared fox.

Day 7: Maasai Mara – Serengeti National park

Our safari continues into the great grassland plains of Serengeti National Park. Depart after breakfast and drive through the southern part of the reserve viewing game as we head to the Tanzanian border at Isebania / Sirari. Upon arrival proceed to the lodge/camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Serengeti Full Game drives

We will leave in the morning and drive west for game viewing through the western corridor of the Serengeti to the Central region of Seronera. This is the largest park in Tanzania covering more than 14,000 square kilometers. The park’s attractions include: The annual great wildebeest migration, the endless plains and the savannah vegetation, balloon safari and numerous birdlife and wildlife including Lion, African Elephant, African Leopard, cheetah, African Buffalo, hyena Thomson’s and Grant’s gazelle, topi, eland, water buck, baboon, African wild dog, impala and giraffe. The park also boasts about 500 bird species, including Kori bustard, ostrich, secretary bird, martial eagle, crowned crane, marabou stork, lovebirds and many species of vultures.

In the late afternoon, we will head back to your lodge for hot shower, dinner and overnight at the Lodge/camp.

Day 9: Serengeti – Ngorongoro crater

We will have game viewing enroute as we drive southeast up into the magnificent Ngorongoro Conservation. Full afternoon crater tour. The Ngorongoro crater is the world’s biggest whole volcanic caldera at 8300 sq km and is one of the most stunning arena. Attractions in Ngorongoro crater include alkaline lakes, forest, and different vegetation, hot springs, different kinds of wildlife and birdlife and its landscape.

Among the common wildlife in the crater includes; lion, hyena, elephant, leopard, zebra, wild dogs, warthog, the rare black rhino, African buffalo, wildebeest and varieties of migratory and resident birdlife whereby more than 350 different species have been recorded.

In the afternoon you will ascend the crater floor and head back to the Campsite for hot shower, dinner and overnight at the lodge/camp.

Day 10: Ngorongoro – Lake Manyara

After breakfast exit the park and drive to Lake Manyara National park. Explore the park famed for tree climbing lions. Picnic lunch is offered. The Lake Manyara National Park consists of a massive but shallow soda lake which covers two-thirds of the park at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. The park’s attractions include; herds of African elephant, famous tree-climbing lions, as well as large flocks of flamingos, attracted by the algae in the lake. Dinner and overnight at the lodge/camp.

Day 11: Lake Manyara – Arusha – Zanzibar

After breakfast proceed to Arusha – Lunch at the hotel followed by transfer to the airport to board an afternoon flight to Zanzibar, on arrival, our representative will meet you and transfer you to the resort/hotel to start your beach vacation.

Day 12-14: Zanzibar beach vacation

These days are dedicated to relaxing and unwinding after the long safaris. At the Beach Resort in Zanzibar, you will be welcomed by a blaze of colour as you sweep down the imposing driveway, saluted by the warm staff members on your arrival as you pass through the entrance gate and be captivated as you arrive in reception and look out over the resort and the azure blue sea and white sandy beach of Indian ocean. This destination is characterized by coconut palms swinging in the breeze, beautiful gardens, traditional style round chalets with pitched makuti roof and a stunning swimming pool. Days spent sunbathing and relaxing at the beach hotel – Awaken to a tropical sea view as the light spills into your room. Spend quality time basking in the sun or exploring other sights and sounds on the mountains or coral reef islands.

Day 15: Zanzibar – Nairobi

Morning spent at leisure then transfer to the airport to board a flight to Nairobi arriving in good time for your flight back home.
