This 13 day Safari in Kenya and Tanzania is the perfect experience for every safari lover. The safari begins in Kenya and winds up in Tanzania. Day 1: Nairobi-Aberdares
Leave Nairobi and drive to the Outspan Hotel arriving in time for lunch. After lunch transfer by lodge vehicle to the Treetops Lodge where from the lodge’s balcony you view game that visit the floodlit waterhole and saltlick such as rhino, elephants, giant forest hog and buffalo. Dinner and overnight at The tree Hotel.
Day 2: Abedares-Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast depart for Lake Nakuru National Park through Thomson falls arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive at lake Nakuru which is mainly known for its large number of flamingos, other bird life-it’s a bird watchers paradise and wildlife. Among all the big five only the elephant misses in this park. Dinner and overnight at Lodge/Camp.
Day 3: Lake Nakuru – Maasai Mara National Reserve
Morning game viewing at the Park as you leave the Park. Breakfast at the lodge and depart for Maasai Mara. We will have a few stops during the drive to take pictures. Arrive Mara in time for lunch. Have game viewing enroute to lodge for lunch. Afternoon game drive at the park. Dinner and overnight at lodge/Camp.
Day 4 & 5: Full Game Drives Maasai Mara National Reserve
Two full days will be spent at the Masai Mara game reserve. Driving across the plains in search of the big cats (black manned lions, Cheetahs and leopards with picnic lunch served at the Mara River site. Vast herds of wildebeest and zebra wander across the Mara grasslands in huge numbers during this period that the annual migration takes place (July-Oct), when millions of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle traverse the Mara plains landscape to feed on the rich new grass from the Serengeti. You also have a chance to see other plain game like the Topi, hearbeast, Eland. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge/camp.
Day 6: Maasai Mara – Nairobi – Amboseli
Early morning game viewing drive searching for any wild game you might have missed previously, Breakfast at lodge and depart for Nairobi with game viewing enroute as you leave the park. Arrive Nairobi in time for Lunch. After lunch head to Amboseli whose backdrop is the mighty snow-capped Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, Game viewing enroute to the lodge. Dinner and overnight at the Camp/Lodge.
Day 7: Full Game Drives Amboseli
After breakfast proceed for your game drive. It is in Amboseli where you will be able to get very close to herds of elephants which is a totally different experience from seeing them from a distance. Lunch will be served at the Lodge, relax and at 1600 hrs proceed for an afternoon game drive. Afternoon game drive which provides a chance to see Lion, Giraffe, Rhino, Buffalo, Elephants and many other game animals with Mt. Kilimanjaro providing a beautiful back drop. Dinner and overnight at Lodge/camp.
Day 8: Amboseli – Ngorongoro
Have breakfast and depart for Ngorongoro. Cross the border for NgoroNgoro National Reserve via Arusha. Arrive in time for Lunch. Afternoon proceed to NgoroNgoro, Game viewing enroute to the lodge for dinner and overnight at the Camp/Lodge.
Day 9: NgoroNgoro Crater
Depart in the morning after breakfast with picnic lunch descending about 2000ft by 4WD vehicles to the crater floor for a full day crater tour. Search for the magnificent black-manned lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and plenty of other wildlife exists in great concentration. Lunch at the crater. Ascend back to the lodge/camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 10: Ngorongoro-Serengeti National Park
After breakfast depart for Serengeti National Reserve via Olduvai Gorge, an attraction famously known as the site where archeologist Dr. Leakey found fossils of human and animal believed to be over 2 million years old. Lunch enroute arriving Serengeti in the afternoon. Afternoon game viewing inside the Park. Dinner and overnight at the Camp/Lodge.
Day 11 &12: Full Game Drives Serengeti National Park
These 2 full days are dedicated to exploring the Serengeti. Morning and afternoon game inside the Park taking you to different parts of the park famous for the annual migration when millions of wildebeest and zebra set off for maasai Mara in search of better grazing grounds and water. Meals and overnight at the Camp/Lodge.
Day 13: Serengeti-Lake Manyara National Park
Depart for Lake Manyara National Park after breakfast arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon game viewing drive inside the park, look for a variety of wild game. You are likely to shoot a picture of the curious tree-climbing lions. Dinner and overnight at the camp/lodge.
Day 14: Lake Manyara – Arusha-Nairobi
Early morning game viewing at the park. Return to lodge for breakfast after which you will depart for Arusha arriving for lunch at an Arusha Hotel. Afternoon proceed and cross the border and onwards to arrive Nairobi early evening and transfer to the airport/hotel.
