6 Days 5 Nights Kidepo Valley National Park and Pian Upe Game Reserve
Our safari begins in Kidepo Valley National Park. This park hosts the big game, other mammal species as well as over 450 bird species. Kidepo is a long drive from Kampala but also one of the most magnificent park in Uganda. Later head to Pian Upe for more wildlife experience.

DAY 1: Kampala – Kidepo Valley National Park
Upon arrival you will be met by our representative and drive to Kidepo Valley National Park through Gulu / Kitgum Towns to the far North-East where Uganda borders Kenya and South Sudan. We will have a game drive en route to the lodge/camp. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge/Camp.
DAY 2: Kidepo Valley National Park
After breakfast, proceed for a game drive to Kanangorok hot spring. Here you will encounter wildlife like; Hunting dog, Bat-eared Fox, Cheetah, Striped Hyena, Caracal, the aard Wolf, elephants, oribi, burchell’s zebras, Jackson’s hartebeests, bush pigs, bohor reed buck, warthogs, rothschild giraffes, defassa water bucks, cape buffaloes, elands, bush duskier, bush bucks, lions, side-striped jackals, leopards, black-backed jackals, various small cats and spotted hyenas.
In the afternoon head for a cultural tour to interact with the Karamajong community. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge/Camp.
DAY 3: Kidepo Valley National Park – Pian Upe Game Reserve
In the early morning depart for Pian Upe Game Reserve. This is the second largest conservation protected area in Uganda after Murchison Falls.
The reserve is covered by wooded grassland. The wildlife attractions here include; leopards, Cheetahs, spotted hyenas, lions, Roan antelope, Mountain Red buck, the errand, bush bucks, water bucks, ostriches and birds like the rare shoe bill, clip springer and many other birds, bur hell’s Zebra, buffalo, eland, harte beast, greater Kudu, Topi, Orib, Dik-dik and Uganda’s last population of roam antelope.
you will also find vervet monkeys, olive baboons, the far localized pata monkeys and the black-backed and side-stripped jackals. After lunch, leave for a late afternoon game drive to see more wildlife. Dinner and overnight at the Camp/Lodge.
DAY 4: Pian Upe Game Reserve – Mbale town
Begin the day with an early morning game drive. Return to the Lodge/Camp for breakfast then head for Mbale town with a stop at the beautiful Sisiyi Falls. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel.
DAY 5: Wanale Mountain Hiking
After breakfast, Hike to Mount Wanale, Bugisu’s temple of nature and the long arm of Mount Elgon. This is a spectacular mountain with escarpments, deep valleys, water streaked cliffs, caves and rocks. Mbale town is home to a number of waterfalls making Mt. Wanale to be one of the most beautiful mountains in Uganda. In the afternoon, tour coffee / banana gardens grown on the slopes of Mount Elgon. Later return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
DAY 6: Mbale town – Kampala
After breakfast, depart Mbale town for Kampala and arrive in the afternoon for your return flight.
