3 Days Tsavo West & East Easter Safari Packages

Day 1: Nairobi – Drive to Tsavo West National Park
Depart from Nairobi city and proceed to the Tsavo West National park. You will enter the park at Mtito Gate and start your game-drive en-route to your Lodge.
Lunch will be served at the Hotel and some rest time followed by an extensive game-drive later in the afternoon. You will visit the Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary – a 70 square Kilometer fenced area during your game drive and spot the endangered black rhino. The black rhino are inching their way back from the chasm of extinction that was forced upon them by rampant poaching in the 1960’s. You will search for elephant, giraffe, buffalo, antelope, lion and other game on your game-drive.

Day 2: Tsavo West – Drive to Tsavo East National Park
This morning you will enjoy an early morning game-drive before breakfast in the park. Game viewing drives at the Tsavo West with a visit to the Mzima springs. The Springs are fed daily by 250 million liters of water gushing from the Chyulu Hills provide an oasis of green, an underwater hippo viewing chamber, two nature trails and some unique picnic spots.
The Shetani lava flows were formed only a few hundred years ago and local peoples believed that it was the devil himself emerging from the earth. This vast expanse of folded black lava spreads for 50 sq km across the savannah at the foot of the Chyulu Hills. Return to the lodge for breakfast then proceed to your next destination – Tsavo East National Park.
Arrive at the lodge in time for lunch then rest before the afternoon game-drive. The park is famous for the ‘Man-eaters’. In 1898, as many as 135 railway workers were attacked and killed by man-eating lions.
A variety of animals can be seen in the park such as lions, leopard, cheetah, zebras, giraffes, serval, antelopes, kongoni, lesser kudu, oryx, klipspringer, impala, stripped hyena, ostriches, gazelles, buffalos, elephants and many more. A variety of migratory and native birds are seen.

Day 3: Tsavo East – Drive to Nairobi
This marks the last day of the safari. Enjoy an early breakfast followed by an extensive game-drive en route to nairobi.
The Athi River flanked by stately doum palms which, near the Manyani gate forms the Lugard Falls, a long stretch of rippling white water cataracts and a favorite haunt for sunbathing crocodiles. Mudanda Rock is almost 2 kilometers long it juts out of the surrounding landscape.

Lugard Falls gush through a small fissure, narrow enough for the foolhardy to leap across, before dropping to Crocodile Point below, where the river changes its name to the Galana.
The Crocodile point where you can often find some pretty large crocodiles as well as plenty of other wildlife including buffalo, hippo and the highly endangered Hunter’s Hartebeest. This is also a great area for within the park for birding as well.
Return to the lodge/ camp for Lunch then proceed to Nairobi or proceed to the Kenya coast beach hotels. Meal Plan: {Breakfast & Lunch}
